EXERCISING THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

Unlawful Arrest of Raja Petra

Avril Lavigne Concert Controversy

September1

Avril Lavigne Rocks! This is old news but since I just created this blog yesterday, I'll go ahead and vent out some things regarding the recent Avril Lavigne Concert Controversy. For those of you who don't know what happened, here's what happened:

  1. PAS Youth of Federal Territory called a ban towards the Avril Lavigne Concert
  2. Ministry of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage denies concert permit
  3. Ministry of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage gives the green-light for the concert to go on

PAS Youth says that Avril Lavigne is too sexy and the concert must not go on because it is not respectful to the coming month Ramadhan. This is total bullshit! If they are worried that the people will be influenced by Avril's punk rock style, why don't they just ban Muslims from going the concert instead of banning the concert altogether? This shows that PAS as a whole is very narrow-minded and jealous. Yes…. jealous! Maybe they wanted to go to the concert but if the Barisan Nasional were to find out about it, then BN could use it as a knife towards them :) In my opinion, PAS should be banned and not Avril Lavigne!
